The delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Major General of Police Nurbek Abdiev, visited Uzbekistan.
The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan welcomed the delegation in Fergana. First, the guests laid wreaths at the base of the Mother of Mourning statue in the Department of Internal Affairs of Fergana region. Later, regular meetings of the working group between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the two countries and the heads of internal affairs bodies of the border regions were held.
At the meeting of the coordinating working group, the sides discussed the issues of cooperation in the fight against terrorism, human trafficking, illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and organized crimes. Following the meeting, the parties signed the meeting protocol and the "Quick preventive measures to combat crime" plan for 2023-2024 between the Ministries of Internal Affairs.
Then, the guests got acquainted with the activities of the internal affairs department of Fergana region, in particular, the situational centre, 102 service, electronic shooting range and other areas.
Also, the exhibition of modern equipment and power tools, demonstrated by the mobilized squad performing operational tasks, the forensic department and the collective squad, left a great impression on the guests.
On the second day of the visit, representatives of the coordinating working group met with Kyrgyz tourists who took part in the international flower festival held in Namangan. Also, they visited the Department of Internal Affairs of Kokan city, attractive places and historical memorials.
The two-day visit was productive and constructive, and important agreements were reached to strengthen mutual cooperation further.
