The Ministry of Internal Affairs delegation led by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Polat Bobojonov, participated in the Meeting of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS Member States

On September 8, the Ministry of Internal Affairs delegation led by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Polat Bobojonov, participated in the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs meeting of the CIS Member States in Chulpon-ota (Kyrgyzstan). The Council meeting was attended by the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Republics of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, the Russian Federation, and the Director of the Bureau for the Coordination of Combating organized crime and Other Dangerous Crimes in the CIS Member States.

The meeting discussed the priority issues of cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs and the police of the CIS countries in implementing Interstate crime control programmes and preparing a draft Interstate programme of joint measures to combat crime for 2024-2028. A number of documents have been signed on the issues discussed concerning the advisability of establishing a single register of Internet resources subject to blocking by the national legislation of the CIS Member States and combating the illegal distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, cooperation in preventing the use by citizens of the Commonwealth Member States of the institution of change of citizenship to avoid criminal and other liability, and others.

The members of the Council highly appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan for careful preparation and successful holding of the meeting, which was held in a business, constructive and friendly atmosphere with mutual trust and cooperation.
