A group of secret members of a terrorist organization was arrested in Tashkent
On May 20, law enforcement agencies caught eight secret members of the terrorist organization "Khatiba al-Tawhid wal-Jihad", which was recognized as a terrorist organization by the decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan on September 26, 2016, and its activities are prohibited on the territory of our country).
They held joint meetings in Tashkent city and planned to join the ranks of terrorist organizations operating in the territory of the Syrian state in the future. They contacted the leaders of the terrorist organization through the Internet and various social messengers and were engaged in promoting the organization's ideas among the people and expanding the organization based on their instructions.
Currently, in this regard, the Investigation Department under the MDIA of Tashkent initiated a criminal case under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a precautionary measure in the form of imprisonment has been applied to the suspects. Investigations are continuing.
